Games for couples to play on your phones
The best couple games are short, need no setup and make you talk. The ones below work on two phones, so you can play them on the couch, on a long drive or from two different cities. Most of them get better with one rule: answer on your own, then reveal together.
Guess your partner
One of you answers a question about yourself honestly ("What would you order at a new restaurant?"). The other guesses the answer. Swap roles each round. It is a fun way to find out what you think you know about each other.
Who of us?
A quick duel: "Who of us is more likely to cry at a movie?" Both answer "me" or "you" at the same time. When you agree, it's a point. When you don't, you have something to argue about for the rest of the evening.
Couple dilemmas
Two options, both tempting or both terrible. "A week at the beach with no phone or a week in a city with no money?" Pick separately, reveal, and defend your choice.
Would you still love me if…?
The silly classic: "…I turned into a worm?" "…I only spoke in rhymes?" Answers range from "obviously" to "I'd need to think about it". Good for laughs, surprisingly good for honesty.
Same wavelength
A scale between two ends, like "cozy night in" to "big night out", from 0 to 10. Each of you places your answer for a question such as "a perfect birthday". If you land within one point, it's a match.
Secret questions
Deeper questions with no score: "What is something you have never told me about your childhood?" Write your answer first, then read your partner's. Better for a quiet evening than for a road trip.
Swipe-to-match
Not a quiz, but it ends a lot of arguments: each of you swipes through a list of movies, recipes or date ideas on your own phone. When you both swipe yes, it's a match, and the decision is made.
Make it a habit
- Pick tonight's vibe first: do you want to laugh, get closer or create a moment? Then choose a game that fits.
- Five questions per round is enough. Keep it short so you want another round tomorrow.
- Keep score lightly. The point is the conversation the answers start.
Where Axolove fits
Every game above is in Axolove, with questions we wrote ourselves. You play on your own phones, and your partner's answers stay hidden until you have answered too. That rule is enforced on our server, not just hidden in the app. When a round ends, Film mode replays your answers like a little show, ready to screen-record. Movies, recipes and date ideas each have their own swipe-to-match deck.
